Plot Summary: A cocky test pilot, Hal Jordan, acquires superhuman powers when he is chosen as the new 'owner' by a Green Lantern Power Ring. Along with the ring comes membership into an intergalactic squadron the Green Lantern Intergalactic Corps tasked with keeping peace within the universe.
He, reluctantly takes on the challenges these superheroes face, puts his self-doubts aside, and spurred on by his sense of duty and love for his colleague, Carol Ferris.
The Green Lantern Corps soon faces Parallax, a super-powerful being who feeds on fear and singlehandedly decimates an entire squadron of Green Lanterns. As Parallax approaches Earth Hal finds himself the last defence from the end of mankind. If he fails in stopping Parallax Earth falls and then the universe.
Hal Jordan knows no fear and just might be the right Lantern for the job of saving the world and keeping the universe from harm.
